The self-cleaning filter with wedge mesh is a high-efficiency, continuous filtration device. It uses a V-shaped wedge slit filter (also known as a wedge wire filter) to intercept solid particles in the liquid. The backwash or internal scraping mechanism is automatically triggered by differential pressure or a timer to remove dirt from the filter screen, achieving automatic cleaning without stopping the machine and with low water consumption. It is suitable for industrial circulating water, petrochemical, papermaking and other fields.
- Working Principle
Filtration: The liquid to be filtered enters through the inlet and flows through the wedge-shaped filter element. Particulate matter is trapped on the outer surface of the filter element, and the purified liquid flows out.
Contamination Accumulation: As filtration progresses, impurities accumulate on the filter screen surface, causing the pressure differential to increase or reaching a set time.
Automatic Cleaning: The PLC controller or differential pressure switch initiates the cleaning program.
Backwashing: A reverse water flow is activated to flush the filter screen, removing and discharging the trapped impurities.
Internal Scraping: A scraper (such as a scraper blade or brush) rotates along the inner surface of the filter screen, scraping off adhered particles.
Continuous Operation: The cleaning process is typically short, without interrupting the main process, achieving continuous filtration.
- Advantages
High Strength: Can withstand large pressure differentials.
Low Clogging: V-shaped opening (slit) design facilitates impurity removal.
Large Filtration Area: Continuous tank structure provides a large filtration area.
Water Saving: Low water consumption during self-cleaning.
Automation: Fully automatic operation, reducing manual intervention. Application Scenarios: Widely used in industrial applications requiring precision filtration, such as circulating water systems, oilfield water injection, oil refining and chemical industries, papermaking, power generation, and food and beverage manufacturing.
